Hi,
I happen to be in Brisbane, Queensland right now. I have been here for 10 days and will stay till 15 Aug.
The motels here cost about $95 and up, right here in Toowong, suburb in Brisbane. It's a small city. The backpackers i'm at right now is not too bad. It's about $48 per night,. They have 24 hours lockers for $2. It's relatively safe. It depends on what you are looking for.
The food is expensive for sure compared to Canada.
