I have a simple question, I think ... :)

Has anyone ordered custom hoses before? I want to replace my LP hoses (24" and 7') with a thin kevlar hose, like to the Duokev HP hoses that XS Scuba offers... Maybe I should just contact XS Scuba directly and enquire about getting some made with LP fittings? I should hope that a LP version could be made even lighter than the HP hoses they currently offer (which are 50% lighter than standard rubber hoses), due to the lower working pressure. That said, I'd be perfectly happy with the same duokev hose if they would put LP attachments on the ends.

Any thoughts?

Never mind, this wont work as intended -- the narrow diameter of the duokev hoses won't allow enough gas to flow through them to work as LP hoses. Physics, yeh?

I put DGE flex hoses on my inflator and my octo, and did the same on my girlfriend's setup (our primaries already had flex hoses). I love them. And yes, they seem like outstanding quality for very little money.

If I understand you correctly, you want to buy the skinny HP hoses, get LP-sized fittings on them, and then use them as LP hoses? If that's what you're trying to do, it won't work. HP hoses have a tiny air passage, this keeps the volume of HP air in the hose small and thus pressure on the hose manageable. There's no way you could get even a fraction of the flow needed to breathe out of HP hoses.

Oops, just saw you edited your post! You already figured it out.
