I am a new diver, brand new! I bought an Atomic z2 reg, suunto cobra comp, scubapro s360 octo and aqualung dimension i3 bad. In class I was taught the reg and octo should go on the right and comp and lpi hose on left. The ports on my first stage don't allow this effectively. On the right one hose is fine but the other either hits the bcd or interferes with the tank valve. Any suggestions? Are there elbows that can be used on the first stage?

My Z2 has a rotating turret that allows the hoses to revolve to where I need them. I guess yours doesn't?

Go back with your gear to the lds you bought the gear from. show them the set up and the issue. let them sort it out for you.Thats one reason you buy from a lds.
I strongly suspect it will be a simple case of adjustment or a bit of port swapping to get a comfortable set up.
But to avoid a red face. Based purely on you being a new diver.-Are you 100% sure the first stage isn't on upside down?
You wont be the first person that's done it.
