Good day,

My low pressure power inflator hose tested out fine at home above the water. Now, it pops off every five minutes or less. Not only have I tried to attach it "properly," so has a DM and the ship's captain. It seems snug for a while, but then "ejects." I'll keep diving it on the trip. Does anyone have any suggestions?

History: wing is an Oxycheq Mach V. Original hose leaked when not connected to the wing. I shipped it back to the vendor who sent me this replacement.

Is there more than one size of power inflator hose fitting (other than those used as alternative air sources)? On SB I recall someone posting to say that (save for alternative air types) they are all standardized. A dive shop has told me that this is not the case.

Thanks

Could be that one of the balls have cracked as such with pressure it releases. have you tried a new hose?

Some of them may not take a lot of pressure on the sleeve to free one or more of the balls and allow it to disconnect. In water vs. above water should not matter. You might try F&^%ing with it to see it you can establish any pattern to the failure. You might also want to make sure the schrador valve is screwed in snugly. A loose schrador valve can make it harder to connect it properly.

Problem solved. $30 for a new LP hose. No more popping off.

Thanks all for the responses.
