Hose coverings

Ok.... Since I couldn't find (called Trelleberg Viking) a Yellow 7' Poseidon hose, I had to settle for a standard black. Any good ideas other than the "netting" to make it yellow?

I realy don't like the idea of covering the hose, but I've never had a Poseidon hose fail either. I'd like to keep it yellow from the 1st stage around my neck to my mouth, so there's no question about which one to grap for.

Instead of getting yellow hose wrap for your hose, why can't you just go over which reg you will be donating when you go over your gear with your buddy prior to the dive?

Why don't you just get a black hose, and not rely on hose covers to identify what's what? There are better ways, yanno.

I do go over with who ever I dive with. And for the most part it's only the ocean dive where there are ALOT of divers (ie Speigel) were I have my concern. I know my buddy & everyone in our circle knows, I just thought it may be a good idea.

After all I route the hose "DIR" style down, across, up & around my neck w/back up on necklace, but just thought the yellow would stand out. I dunno....

Just don't worry about it and go with a plain black hose. Do drills often, and you won't even worry about it anymore. It'll become second nature for you and your buddy, just like making sure your head is tilted the right way to clear your Jetstream

Out of those of you on the board that have been involved in an OOA situation where the OOA diver grabbed a reg from you (not you donating it to them, they just take it) which one is most often grabbed for. Are they grabbing the one from your mouth or are they taking an octo that is stowed somewhere on you?

(anyone that wants to re-do this question in 'poll' form, be my guest, I would have, but I'm a better diver than I am computer literate.)
