New foxes guarding the hen house.

No foxes for one day??

ay without authority, Friday 30

COZUMEL, 27 September- almost 24 hours will be without themayor or the city authorities holders of Cozumel, at the culmination of the legal term of the current administration still, as the new authorities will protest 23 hours later.
It appears that in this way will be from the first minute from September 30 to 23 hours of that day, under the transition of power will verificative precisely that Friday at 23 pm, when the legal term of office of the municipal administration headed by Fredy marrufo Martin passes away at 23:59 pm on September 29.
a senior official in the palace of the current administration who asked not to be named, said they finish their work on September 29, but that incoming authorities want They stay to continue working hours on Friday , September 30, which in the case of directors would not be possible because most already delivered their addresses, and will have to leave the palace on Thursday afternoon having submitted his resignation to mayor who hired them , and legally could not and should stay to stay in office because no longer have the power to carry out any formalities, to do so would generate them legal problems inclusive. it
aired incoming authorities want them to stay only that day, but there may be reluctance of some or all of the current directors because neither the same mayor Marrufo Martin could continue to occupy the presidency, not the aldermen, only the operational staff of Public Security, Civil Protection, Fire, Lifeguards, Utilities, Ecology, and other administrative staff of different municipal authorities would have to do without directors or senior officials, as aldermen, comptroller, treasurer, secretary general, among others.
in the event that any director to stay imply to a risk to him if hewere to arise any eventuality or damage to any real or personalproperty, having to answer personally for it. it
was mentioned that something would have been logical that on September 29 at 23 pm the change of administration was given, or is appointed by incoming managers dispatch officials to serve as directors during the morning and afternoon of Friday, subsequently ratify in office for incoming authorities, plain and simple, do not ask the directors who are to take over one day even they will be paid and at risk.
in fact the same transition team of the incoming authorities, it was noted that the change of power will take place on Friday September 30 at 23 pm, according to the set on the invitations that they have come from the Directorate of Social Communication by the director who apparently will be named Alejandra Morelos.

Maybe if Cozumel goes a whole day without a Mayor or any municipal officials and the residents see that the city doesn't crumble around them, they'll figure out that they really don't need those political parasites. Like Cormarant, Minnesota, which just reelected Duke, a Great Pyranees dog, as it's mayor, or Terlingua, Texas, where Clay Henry, Jr., a beer drinking goat is the mayor - he succeeded his father, the original Clay Henry, the beer drinking goat, who served as mayor of Terlingua for many years until he died.

Maybe Cozumelinos could elect an Iguana as Mayor? That would not only show the Pols how useless and unnecessary they are, but would be a great Tourist attraction - "Come to Cozumel, so laid back that our Mayor is an Iguana." Gotta think of a good name for Hizzoner, Mayor Iguana. Even better if he drinks Tequila - or at least Dos Equis.

P.S. - Just found out that a cat, Morris, was actually put on the ballot for Mayor in Xalapa, Mexico in 2013, so there is at least some precedent under Mexican law for putting a non-human up for political office.
