Thanks for the information. I use State Farm insurance already, and have homeowners + contents, so let me call them and see what I would need to do first.

... ok, called State Farm, and the agent said any scuba gear would fall under home contents and no additional insurance required? ... does that sound correct?
 
If you sign up with the cruise ship's dive trips, you should be met by the dive boats at the cruise ship and they return you there also. So you should be able to get right back onboard the big boat, clean up and may still have some time to explore the port. Have a great trip.

Thanks guys, and anyone else with info - please let us know as this is our first time and I want to get as much out of it as possible.

We're bracing for Ivan here as well, and I've been reading all day about what it did to Grand Cayman in other threads on this board and on dedicated damage assessment sites for the Cayman Islands. It doesn't look good there at all.
