Hello everyone,

I've recently purchased a used 1998 Bauer Capitano compressor that came with a couple of filter towers and two 4500psi bank bottles. I'm mechanically inclined but have very little experience with designing, operating, and maintaining a home fill station.

I was planning on buying a booster first but I got a good deal on the compressor so I started with that.

I'm hoping for advice on a general design to fill the two bank bottles and fill tanks off those/the compressor. I'm not entirely sure of what I need for check valves, PMVs (Pressure maintaining Valves?), where to place bleed valves to allow for filter changes, etc.

The filter towers take one 27" and one 10" filter.

I'm a CCR diver so my primary use cases are filling 6cf drysuit bottles, partial pressure blending Trimix, filling 3L dil bottles, and occasionally filling HP steel 120s for OC diving.

Additionally, if anyone happens to have a maintenance manual for the Bauer Capitano I would really appreciate it. Also any pointers for references where I could learn about compressor maintenance and operation would be great!

Thanks in advance,
Mehfridge

A substantially amazing piece of machinery

Yeah I bought a couple of compressors first

Thanks! I'll definitely take a look at the info.

For anyone else that might be looking for a Bauer Capitano 1 Manual, I was able to get one directly from Bauer.
