I have a question.
I was under the impression that the Oceanic Eos is the same as the Hollis DC1. Is this true? They do not look the same in pictures. Some have said the Hollis is the more "tech" version, again what does that mean and is that true? Also, if there is a slight difference between the two, then what exactly is the difference? Finally, does anyone know what the difference between a Hollis DC1 and a Hollis DC2? Seems the first(1st) stages are different ... but how? Maybe it is me but the difference is not clear on the web site.

Finally, I am a bit concerned about buying a Hollis if it's a new brand and perhaps poorly supported around the world. I always come back to Scuba Pro, Oceanic or perhaps Atomic when it comes to top-of-the-line regs with good worldwide "penetration".

Thanks for the input...

The Hollis appears to be an Oceanic demand valve connected to a modified first stage made in the USA. One of the mods has a turret, the other not. If so, this is a slightly different approach than the Sea Elites and the Salvos which are sourced directly from Taiwan, Italy, etc. I'm sure that each of these boutique regulator brands has an interesting story of wheeling, dealing and pricing. Only they would know so check the mfgrs room.
