The service kit I have includes only the teflon seat, not the complete seat assembly, and the fit isn’t reliable. It works fine when the tank pressure is below 1000 PSI, but above that, I can’t open the valve. When I unscrew the metal part of the seat, internal pressure pushes the teflon seat out of position, causing it to block the outlet. I have another service kit, but I’m concerned it’ll have the same issue. Any suggestions?

It seems that the service kit used to include the entire seat assembly, but now it only comes with the teflon insert.

100% just get a DGX valve. These valves have given me a lot of grief, I ended up trashing 8 of them. Biggest issue with them is the thread is so fine it 1. takes a ton of turns to open and close and 2. gives so much mechanical advantage its super easy to damage the seat by closing them too tight. They pretty tho and allowed me to use the rubber stubs to eliminate a stand on my rebi back in the day...

Sounds like the issue is with the seat design, not just the Teflon insert. If the metal part isn’t holding the seat securely under pressure, you might need the full seat assembly. I'd avoid using the same kit again—better to source the complete OEM seat to ensure proper fit and function.
