There seems to be a lot of confusion about the Hollis 212 and DC1 regulator and it's compatibility with Miflex hoses.

Here are some pics to show that they are indeed compatible and go on just like any other hose. I hope this helps someone who is in my recent situation and confused by all the differing posts on it.

Miflex HP and LP hoses on the DC1

As you can see in this one, the nut goes slightly into the recess, but still leaves room to be tightened - it doesn't touch the sides:

Here you can see the second stage cover also fits (flash makes the blacks look different shades):

I can't remember if people were saying they were having issues with the Hollis DC1 or the DC2 which needed an adapter.

there needs to be a miflex pron page..

The DC2 swivel hose 212 had a non standard size fitting. I can say with certainty (as I owned one) that the standard miflex hose would not fit on the second stage stock. Not sure about the DC1 and I believe the DC3 does not have this problem.

I think it all started with the DC2 issue, then the problem somehow got attached to the DC1 by accident.

I have the DC2 packed up and ready to return so I wasn't able to test the LP miflex hose on it.

The HP miflex works fine on the DC2. This I did get to test before.

As for the 212 second stage, as long as it doesn't have that big metal angled swivel thing (very noticeable-see below) coming out of the actual second stage, it should work fine.

From reading various posts, it seems some people also seem to get confused that since the hose rotates on the second stage, it's a "swivel" version. All second stages rotate (as far as I know). The comfort swivel is a big metal part between the hose and second stage that's usually angled.

There seems to also be some confusion about comfort swivel on the second stage and the swivel turret on the first stage. These don't have anything to do with each other.

Here's the swivel on the second stage (won't work with miflex):

Here's the non-swivel (will work with miflex):
