Holiday job as a dive master?

Hi,

I have about 4 months off next Summer and ideally want to spend it diving somewhere abroad (anywhere but the UK!). I wondered if it possible to get my dive master qualification and get a summer job diving? I am currently an advanced PADI diver, and would try and get my rescue course done before the summer. I am fluent in English, French and Spanish if that helps too (I heard its useful to speak other languages in dive jobs)? Do people often do this? Can you get short-term temporary work as a dive master?

Hi!

Yes, you can. Being fluent in different languages certainly is a plus.
I know some guys who's been working as divemasters in the summer, going back home in the winter (or vice versa).
