Hi There,
I've been trying to wait for the new Austrlian HOG distributor to get setup, but he still seems to be a little while away from opening, and i have fundies in 3 weeks. Last thing I need is fins, so it looks like another US Internet purchase. Can you provide any advice on sizing?

I'm a size US 9. I wear 9 or 10 sized booties. With hard sole diving booties, will I Regular or XL?

The Wife is a Ladies US 6. She wears XS sized booties. Would she fit into regulars with hard sole booties, or would we need somethign like a rock-boot to make the fit snug?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Just in case anyone cares. I orderd the Regular fin, and it was way too small for me. It seems to fit my wife very well.

Hi OzGriffo,
Thanks for the information on the HOG fin sizing.
I'm the same size US 9.
You said that the Regular fin is too small for you.
Did you buy the bigger XL size? If so, how did it fit?

Thanks.

No I didn't. When trying the Regular HOG, I found my booted foot would go in about 3/4 of the way to the end of the pocket. As such i'd try the XL next time. I'd imagine the XXL would swim on me.
The boot is a 3mm neoprene with hard sole.

As it was, I also bought a regular yellowtip F1 fin as it was the only tech fin I could find that described a size small enough for me to imagine it would fit my wifes foot. Ironically it's actually bigger than the HOG regular, and fits me perfectly. So she gets the HOG, I get the F1.

Hey, all's well that ends well, right... :)

From what I read and hear, both fins are a great choice.

Thanks for the update and safe diving.
