Hey gang, I've completed a page about the origins of scuba diving and was wondering, if you have the time to spare, if you could take a look.

I think I've got all my facts right but a 2nd opinion is always welcome.

Origins of Scuba Diving

Cheers

Proofreading first. Replace

"Alexander the Great is known to of used military divers and a diving bell"

with

"Alexander the Great is known to have used military divers and a diving bell"

and

"Had it not been for the WW2 erupting two years later this may of developed into the divers choice of equipment"

Your page about the origins of scuba diving is an interesting introduction to the subject. You might consider adding something about the development of dry and wetsuits.

"Of" is also used instead of "have" in the first sentence, second paragraph when you are discussing the Vikings.

When you say, "Some evidence does suggest though that methods of contained air supply were used even back then," which "then" are you discussing? You've just mentioned things that took place about 2000 years apart. At first, I thought you ment the Vikings, but then you mention the Assyrian drawings.

You may want to move the Aqualung photo from discussion of le Prieur to the discussion of Gagnan (inventor) and Cousteau (diver and producer).

This assertion:

Diving Lore:
The first recorded divers though, are represented in Assyrian drawings in 900 B.C of armed divers using small breathing containers.
seems to be in dispute:

Timeline of diving technology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wikipedia:
Several centuries BC: (Relief carvings made at this time show Assyrian soldiers crossing rivers using inflated goatskin floats. Several modern authors have wrongly said that the floats were crude breathing sets and that they show frogmen in action.)

Where are your footnotes? You should cite your sources.
