High End Resorts in Bonaire??

Can anyone point out any High End luxury dive resorts in Bonaire...??

Im looking at the best of the best in terms of accomadations with a house reef....

Anyone care to chime in on my request??

To me luxury is the Ponce de Leon Motor Lodge. However, in Bonaire the closest thing you will get to luxury is the Plaza Resort or the Harbor Village. Unless of course you score a private condo or house.

The Harbor Village does not have a nice housereef.

What is your definition of high end? What types of services, amenities, etc are you seeking? High end on Bonaire is certainly different than on other islands. When I am in Bonaire I just want a clean place with a kitchen and easy access to my dive gear ... that's luxury to me.

I would concur with Harbour Village and Something Special always has always given us something we didn't expect.

No Tom, lets keep that to ourselves.

Honestly, if you are really looking for a high end resort, go somewhere else. Bonaire is all about diving, not plush resorts...thank God, Ala, my producers,my grandmother and everyone else. The most high end are the Plaza and Harbor Village but based on the tone (my appoligies if I miss interpret it) of your post your looking for something that may not exist on Bonaire.

They are building a Hilton on Bonaire just south of the airport. I don't know when it is opening, but it was under construction in January. It may be what you're looking for. I'm not sure about diving though.

Maybe OP meant Bonaire, GA? Or hmmm, "High End"...Rincon maybe? Nah, the house reef there is a bit of a hike. There are a lot of nice places to stay and even more wonderful dive sites but luxury is a relative concept on Bonaire. We're funning you Night Raven because unlike most of the Caribbean, Bonaire keeps it pretty simple. Dive, eat, sleep, dive. (Unless you would prefer to dive all the time.) At least no one was nasty enough to suggest Town Pier when the cruise ships come in... // ww

Hey...

Appreciate the insight....Im just throwing around the idea of going back for the 3rd time....and was wondering what the other hotels / Resorts are like....

I have stayed at the Sand Dollar twice and really liked it.....I was just thinking about trying something new and wanted to know who was in the upper tier of high end resorts....

I agree...Bonaire isnt looking at being in the lap of luxury because the island has its own style about it....thats why im considering going back...

I guess my question should of been what other resorts are comparable or have more to offer than the Sand dollar.....
