You talk about OxyCheq DIY HID lamp. I think that this balast (separated) it is not in production anymore!

Does anyone have an HID light where the entire ballast is in the head? Also what kind of thermal protetion is there in HID heads. They come with a delrin base and attach to a delrin head. Is there a special type of thermal paste that is used to prevent socket damage?

base for hid bulb it is not from delrin but from KETRON PEEK ( original Halcyon - dont know material for fake copying)

thermal paste it is nothing special (prevent HiPot arc between electrodes and made stronger insulation)- it is high temperature silicon paste - could use silicon paste for home heating like TERMOSIL 300 ° C ACETATE (it is also red )
