from the Bay Area. Dunno why it has taken me so long to get on this forum. Great stuff here.
Been diving 15 years. . . mostly cold water stuff around Monterey with the occasional detour to Hawaii and the Caribbean. Big thing in my life right now is seeing my son Evan get turned onto the sport. Did a dive (Monterey Express) with him this weekend at the Pinnacles off Pebble Beach: no surge/swells, 40-50 ft. vis, tepid water temp in the 40s, air temp in the 80s . . . nothing to it. We've had conditions like that everytime since he got certified last August. I may never let him leave home! ;) We're having a great time together.
Nice to be aboard!

Peter & Evan

welcome! get evan on, too! glad to have ya.

Heya...... glad to have you aboard1 I know the feeling, my daughter is getting certified right now and I'm super excited. She's almost nine so it will be awhile before I can take her in the ocean, but Im totally cool with playing scuba games in the pool to get her skills sharp..

Welcome aboard our vessel, make sure to have your son sign up on the board too!!!

Cheers

Hi there and Welcome to SB.com! ;)

Tepid waters in the 40s eh? :frosty:

How neat that you are enjoying it with your son. PM me if I can help you find your way around here, but be sure to check out your local dive club forum by following this path: ScubaBoard.Com > Regional Travel & Dive Clubs> North America> United States> California Kelp Divers> NorCal

I was gonna sing " I left my heart in San Francisco." to welcome you, but I didn't think you would hear me.

So, Welcome to ScubaBoard :D

:yl2jump: :snorkels:Welcome to ScubaBoard! I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here. There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care and Happy Diving. Matt.

What a warm welcome! Thank you.
I've already checked out the California Kelp Divers > NorCal forum and will go there everytime we dive and Evan will soon sign up, I promise. So far I'd have to say the ScubaBoard is AWESOME! Almost as fun to explore as Whaler's Cove.
