Hi!

Just joined Scuba Board, and wanted to say hi. Been diving for 7 years, been in Florida for 5. Thought I would have gotten more dives in since I've been here, but there's working around the house (boss lady say I have too), working on the boat, trying to find dive buddies on the same schedule, and of course last year the @##$%^&&* hurricanes! (Put up the plywood, anchor the boat out, take down the plywood, bring the boat in. Repeat steps 1-4 until a paranoid weather channel addict.)

Sold the old boat and got one FAR more dependable, Boss Lady now works in Chicago leaving some weekends uninterrupted (commuter marriages ain't all bad!), and hoping for better weather this year.

Live in the Tampa Bay area, and looking for dive buddies. Also spend a weekend or two a month in Chicago, so dusted off the ol' dry suit and hope to get some Lake Michigan wrecks in.

Welcome to the board!

Welcome to SB- it's a great place. Looking forward to MUCH less active hurricane season! :icosm10: Currently in OW classes in Lakeland. Certify mid May. Check Florida Conch Divers Forum, lots of locals there. From what I can tell, most groups are always willing to have more join the fun! I've also heard Florida is the easiest place to find dive buddies. I'll find out once I'm certified!

No experience needed and it feels great!

Welcome to the board. I also hated the hurricanes. I had to work a shelter for 3 weeks. I worked 24 hours a day for all 3 weeks. I'm glad that is over. Don't forget to check out the Florida Conch Divers forum. Here is a link.
