Hi everyone, my name is Ramses, 18 years old and from little cold Belgium. I've been diving for 4 years now, but only got 28 dives of experience.
The best experience EVER during a dive was when we were in Mozambique. During the whole week we were there the visibility was bad, water was cold, big waves, coral destroyed by stupid *ssholes ...
BUT! at the end of, which I think was the last, dive we were grouping together to start ascending when suddenly about 10 meters away a Zebra Shark swam past! I was so excited and wanted to take a picture that I swam away from the group (yes I know that you're not supposed to leave your buddy/group behind, but hey...
).
But that's not all. When I was about 5 meters away from the zebra shark I saw a big white spot moving to my left. My first reaction was thinking "wow a manta ray!", because we were there to try and find them. I was wrong, it was no manta ray, no it was waaaay better than that. Guess what, it were 2 Humpback whales!! Mother and child, swimming past me about 15-20 meters away! I managed to take a picture and a short bit of video but those are bad because they were so far away with the poor visibility.
All that happended in no longer than a minute, amazing!
so that's my story, now let's all get jealous at the lucky beginner
