Hello all,

I have just joined the site although I have read stuff on here for the last year. Didnt realise how much was available on the site.

I have been diving for 36 years. Started with a hired twin hose regulator which jammed closed on the 4th dive. My photo was taken on the Barrier Reef about 20 years ago with my second camera an Olympus OM1 with 50mm macro lens in an Australian Sea-Tite housing. I had recently upgraded from a Nikonos 3. I then moved into Aquatica and nikon cameras and have recently bought an Olympus E-520 and housing so I have come almost full circle.

I get in the water at about 4 locations a year and log about 30 dives a year. It's nowhere near as much as I used to dive but I still get great enjoyment out of the trips.

looking forward to talking to some of you.

thanks all for the welcome.

Landlocked dive nut - If you plan to dive down here drop me a note and I may have some ideas for you. I have been diving in Australia since 1975.
