Hi everyone, I'm new to the board and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 44 year old New Yorker who started SCUBA diving late in life, but now that I started I can't stop. I got Padi open water, advanced open water, and rescue diver certifications while assigned to Guantanamo Bay Cuba in Fall 2004. This forum seems very informtive and I'm looking forward to joining some of the threads. Safe Scuba, Mundo.

Welcome aboard, mundo. Lots of divers in your area.. be sure to check out the Wreck Valley forum (http://www.scubaboard.com/forumdisplay.php?f=84) for local dives and info.

I'm equidistant between Wreck Valley, New England Lobster Divers, Lake Effect Divers, and Ontario Fresh Water Freaks! 3-4 hours from each, go figger.

Hope to see you in the water one day.

Welcome, welcome. Aren't you glad Florida is just a hop skip and jump from NY? Have fun on the board!

Hey Mundo
Welcome to the board. I'm originaly from NY myself, but what you folks call upstate (though it really isn't). Have you heard of Newburgh or Middletown? Lived between those two places in a really small town (Pine Bush).

Anyway, enjoy your reading and diving...
