Forget the Great Barrier Reef, come down here to South Oz and go swimming with the white pointers. We can do a nice trip on the Faile out to Port lincoln area and dive under the guidance of Rodney Fox or his son.

Dont like the GBR, too many tourists :tease:

Forget the GBR in March, it's cyclone season (remember the SS Yongala went down in March). It's a long way to come to find you're completely blown out, as it is at present with a vengence. Your ideal time to visit GBR is October-November. Mike Ball's boats are very good for tourist groups - well set up and sticklers for the rules. Diving is great in NSW and Victoria this time of year right thru to June. The water temp does not drop until mid-winter. We are presently running at 22 degrees C.

Hey there Hocky, welcome from one of the other "colonies" - Canada.

Gee the temps you Aussies are talking about sound pretty fine to me - especially since its -8C here now! Ok we've been warned that March is not so hot because of cyclones. Any other time to be wary of?

Saving my shekles to get down and visit you all.
