Hi guys! What a great board this is. Been lurking for a while and it's time to come out.

I am PADI Rescue qualified and have been diving for 2 years. Most of my diving has been in tropical waters but I'm starting to get more into cold water diving here in the UK.

Looking forward to talking with you all! :bounce:

And welcome from a 1/2 scot and married over the anvil in Gretna living in the USA now.

Hi Verona and welcome to SB!
I was in Stirling, Scotland 3 weeks ago; beautiful country.
Found my tartan, funny that my Clan colors match my Dive Gear!

welcome aboard

:overlord: Hi, Lurker,

Well, you sound as if you have some serious experience under your wet suit. Rescue diver? Just what does one have to do to qualify for that? I am sure most of your dives can't be all that thrilling given that a good many of those types of dives (at least around where I live) are recovery and not rescue. Sigh. AT any rate, glad you are on board. I am pretty new here myself, so I have a lot to learn.

Cheers.

Hey 2dive4! To do Rescue Diver you need to have done PADI AOW and have logged 20 dives. The course itself doesn't have a lot of diving in it but there is a lot of in water activity to do with recovery and rescue. It's really worth doing as it gives you confidence about yourself and helping others.
