Hi from Moorea

Hi everybody. Just wanted to say a quick hello. I live in French Polynesia and would love to get some advice on good dive spots.

Welcome to the board. Don't you have a bunch of awesome dive spots in Moorea and surrounding islands? I was there a few years ago on my honeymoon. I loved the diving and the island was awesome.

Welcome to SB. I'd say you're in dive heaven there! I dove Moorea back in 2001 and there are so many great dive sites in the islands that I missed (and will have to return for).

I know-I'm sure there are so many great spots I'm missing out on. I've been living here for about 5 months now and have yet to go diving. All my diving so far has been in California. The problem is, it's pretty expensive through the resorts even if you have your own gear. Really no locals go diving so I can't find a buddy. Just gotta keep looking I guess.

There is a nice op at the Intercontinental hotel, or at least there was, Called Bathy's!

They were great guys...You didn't have to be a guest of the hotel to dive with them. You should try them out.

Good tip thanks! I was trying to stay away from the resort dives but I think I will probably have to at least start there, to get to know some people/places. Nice to know that someone had a good experience though.
