Hi everyone,

I live in the Montreal area in Canada and have been diving mainly in warm Caribbean waters. I did my original certification in Ontario in the Midland area and have taken courses through to NAUI Master Diver. However, I have never dived in cold water since my original course. Recently, I've heard all about the Brockville and St Lawrence region for diving. I am now seriously considering on trying out the local diving up here so I don't have to totally rely on trips down south. I'll probably have to wear a 7 mm wetsuit again or learn how to use a dry suit. I would also like to meet other fellow divers in my area.

Welcome to the board!

Joe

Brockville is great diving, and I wore a 5 mil long when I dived there last September. Think I may have worn a light beanie, too, but then - chill sensitivitiy is a personal thing. I'd take the 7 mil just in case. It's a nice drive, too, as I flew into Montreal then drove down - passing cars like crazy until I figured out where the metric switch was for the rental car speedomter! :11:

Be sure to check your local dive club forum here and the one for that area as well.
