Hi,
My family (husband, daughter (16), and son (13)) just finished part I of the OW certification. We are going to Cozumel at the end of March (spring break for the kids) to do our OW dives! We've arranged to do these with Scuba with Alison.

My daughter is going on a trip to Belize in July with a group from her high school and they'll get to dive there! Yes, I know...I never had opportunities like that in high school. Her need to be certified to do this kind of ballooned into our whole family getting certified.

We're all excited to see some cool marine life! I am also a bit apprehensive even though on other trips I was always the one to get super excited for snorkeling! Anyway we'll see where this sport takes us! I'm sure I'll be reading the boards and asking questions in the future!

Wow, that's great to hear! You'll have a wonderful time in Cozumel. The water and diving is fabulous there. We'll be in Cozumel in June for the ScubaBoard Invasion. Have a great time and welcome to diving and ScubaBoard!

Scuba is a great family activity. Most of the dive shops will have a Wednesday night fun dives here in MN. It will be a "little" colder water here than Coz but it is still fun.

What shop did you start your OW Certification?
