Hi from Kentucky

Hi all! I just joined the University of Kentucky Scuba club and heard about this forum. I just signed up. Im PADI AOW certified, and have been diving since December of 2003. So far I've been to St. Croix, Florida, Cozumel, Kauai, Dutch Springs Quary in Pennsilvania, Fallen Rock Quary in Kentucky, and Laurel River Lake in Kentucky. I plan to dive the Spiegel Grove in September, between the 16th and 18th. Any info and pointers on that would be great! Also, I hope to go to Bonaire during Christmas. Looking forward to reading this board and sharing about diving!

Welcome to the board from another KY diver; I'm in far western KY though, I don't do any diving up your way. Be sure to check out the KY section of the boards. Several from your area post stuff there.

About the Spiegel Grove: I've got bout six or seven dives on it (none since it's been upright). It's all about the current, it can be an easy dive or almost undiveable. You never know what you'll have till you get there and the current can change from morning to afternoon or even during the course of a dive. Enjoy. steve

Hi Violeta...I'm a fellow KY diver and UK grad ('96). I don't think UK had a scuba club when I was there. They did offer a scuba class I remember...My adviser was the instructor for it. Welcome to SB.com...I've learned alot in my short time here.
