Decided to join this board to learn as much as possible about scuba diving before I consider being certified. I have always loved the water and biology, especially involving aquatic life. I live in the midwest, but my father lives on the South Carolina coast and I hope to do some diving there.

Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue: Look around our various forums - everything from New-To-Scuba to Instructors-Only to Dive Medicine.

BTW, you might try a Discover Scuba course with a local instructor. It's a safe way to try it out; got me hooked!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! We have some very knowledgible divers on this board so if you have any questions - fire away!!!

Dons right (did I just say that!!!) - a Discover Scuba Course is a great way to find out if diving is really for you! Good luck & let us know how it all goes for you!!!

Don't delay. Get certified first, then ask questions. No, I'm not joking. Get started, you'll love it!!!! THEN you'll have questions, questions, questions.

E-mail me after you're certified and we'll go diving together in the area.

Welcome to the board. Why wait, just do it (sounds familiar). Your life will be turned upside down...but in the water who cares, if you are upside down...enjoy...

Greetings and salutations.

Take the course. You know you want to.

Common in, the water up in our neck of the woods may be a touch cold but we ahve a lot of fun in it.
