pygar, sorry for the delay answer, but I saw your post today.
I don´t know what you do for a living, but you can work for a good salary here. The problem is the exchange rate USD 1 = AR$ 3. For example, you can live here with $3000 / 4000 the same way you live in Florida with U$S 3000 /4000 talking about food, rent, etc., but if you want to buy equipment, electronics, etc, you have to pay those things in USD+tax+shipping and earning in AR$ make it hard to pay for those.
We don´t have to many places to dive, but the ones we have are great. You can dive in the lakes of the south (Bariloche / San Martin de los Andes) at 2300 over sea level, cristal clear water with uw woods. You have some quarryes, dams, or same lakes in Cordoba. And the most popular place is Puerto Madryn (Golfo San Jose, Golfo Nuevo, Golfo San Matias), there are UW parks, wreks, wales, sea wolf, etc. And if you are into technical you can dive near Antartica.
We don´t have as many diving sites as you do living in Florida, but you won´t have to sell your rig if your move here
Remember the water is colder over here, from 77 in summer to 50 in winter, and colder as you move south.
As I wrote in my first post, excuse my english, I need to practice a little.
If you need anything please send me PM, and if you move here just drop a line and we can meet for a beer and plan some diving.
