Heya,
I've been using the board for a while already, mostly as a great source of information. I suppose it's time to get rid of that header which asks me to post a introduction (no really, I'm sure it's a good idea anyway).
As the title sort of indicates, I'm having a identity crisis. I'm originally from Finland, lived in Spain for a couple of years as a kid, then back to the cold and dark country and never felt like home there and now I've ended up living in Boston, MA. I've also spent considerable amount of time in all places between and fell in love with Asia, which might become my new home some day in the future.
I've always been a diver at heart, spent most of my time in the pool as a kid, then in the ocean with snorkel during my travels and finally got certified in Thailand in year 2000. After returning home, I got my first set of gear for $500 and started diving actively whereever I happened to be.
Happy to be a New England diver today, I prefer the ocean here to coral reefs and pretty fish. I enjoy the challenges in diving and the pretty fish don't deliver that very consistently.
Future for me looks like maybe moving towards scuba instruction (which I've found is very challenging), cave / tech diving and other adventures.
That's it.. I better stop before this book becomes too thick.
