Hello scubaboard folks. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm married to a wife that's absolutely terrified of water, so my venture in to scuba will be solo. I'm 2 weeks away from turning 50 and an avid downhill skier but for the last few years I've been thinking of hanging up the skis and change my winter vacation plans from cold places to warm places and try scuba. I love boats, water, fish, coral, tropical locations, palm trees, pelicans, dolphins, etc. so scuba just seemed like a natural. I am also a salt water aquarium enthusiast. I just finished up the class/pool part of my open water training and I'm booked on the liveaboard dive boat Cat Ppalu in the Bahamas in the end of March for a week to complete my open water dives and start diving. I was told to let you all know that I was referred here by the ghost of SeaJay.
