We are new to the board and looking forward to making new friends. My husband and I are planning to make this a family adventure and look forward to a lifetime of diving with our children.

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy this board. You don't give much info, so I don't really know much, but let us (or me) know if you have any questions (maybe I can help... maybe not!!) Our kids aren't old enough to dive yet, but hoping they will love it when they are!!!

One suggestion.. (remembering I don't know who I'm talking to)... you say 'we' but if you really are a 'we' you might try to each get your own identity. I can't tell you how many times I write and am glad there's a slim chance my hubby will see it.

Example "thinking of getting SO blah blah for Christmas or birthday.... opinions?" "hubby wants a new ...blah blah... what do you recommend?" Trying to plan a surprise trip.... any number of things! Nothing subversive haha...

Hello and welcome to the board. There are many families on here that dive. I don't know where you are based and if you plan on making your vacations diving ones or if you have the luxury of being able to dive from home. I wish I had been introduced to diving when I was a kid but I am pleased that I eventually got around to it. Anyway, it's good to see you on the board and we look forward to hearing of your adventures. Safe diving!!

Hmmm, I don't have an "SO", so I'd never considered AmyJ's suggestion before, sounds like a good idea.
I hope you find everything you need here on the board, we've got something for about every diving subject and bunches of stuff for non diving subjects.
If you look at the club located nearest you, in the Clubs forum at the bottom of the page, you'll find events and dive buddies near you.

This is a great place to meet people, talk about diving, and get information on just about any aspect of diving -or other subjects sometimes- that you can think of. Roaming through the forums is great help for me.
Now get wet with us and dive into the forums to ask questions, answer those that you can and even chat with folks about diving dreams and nightmares. ScubaBoard is a great place to spend your required Surface Intervals.
