Hi all, Former native N.Californian just moved to Denver,Colorado and am really feeling the BLUES! No Ocean and have not dived in almost 1 year. I heard Denver has a large dive community and I am looking to get connected so that I can get out there and get some info on dive groups/vacations and lake dives! need to get in the water!!!!!!!

Hi there AMYBLAMEY,I saw where 17 people veiwed your post and no one said hi and welcome. So Ill say it..Hi and welcome to scuba board.I cant help you with diving in Colorado, sorry.Locate a dive shop and they can get you started.Im spoiled living in Florida.Im not sure I would be a diver if I was landlocked.Anyways good luck:D

Heelllloooo neighbor to the north :)
There are a surprisingly large number of divers in CO. Last time I was in Denver I counted 22 dive shops in the phone book. Be sure to say hi over in the RMO forum: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/rocky-mountain-oysters/
Many people from CO make the trek down to NM to dive, especially during colder months.
Take care,
Jason

Hey I live in Kansas so DIving her is sometimes a little bleak. One nice dive not too far from you is the Blue Hole. It is probably 3 to 4 hours. The vis is always 300 feet rated. Never any murky water there. If you dove in California and really want some good diving the Islands is the place to go. Always warm water. I sell discounted trips to all the Carribean. The cheaper the price the more often you can go. Living in Denver gives you some real advantages for air fare. We had a trip to Cancun all inclusive out of Dnever last week for 2 for 6 days and nights for $1000.00 total package for 2 not one.
