Just found out from Dee that I missed the NDI gathering this weekend in my own backyard [Lake Travis, Austin TX] - Oh well.....
I went to Windy Pt. when they went to Mansfield Dam!

This should be sufficient for my first shot at posting on this board!
Cheers

Any friend of Dee's is a friend of the Board!

Looks like you have mastered the Posting Excercise to perfection! Feel free to use your newly mastered skill and tell us about your scuba experiences any time you want. As I am prone to write: if you have questions, we have answers; if you have answers, we have questions; or if you are just looking for a chuckle or two on a cloudy day, come on in!

Oh, yes, one more note: there are some folks on this Board who do not have the finely tuned sense of humor that others of us possess. Do not fear them: they are as harmless as a Texas Rattler who has just been stepped on...

Joewr...noting that I have now had some offers on this space and am in the midst of serious negotiations...please knock before entering....

and a WARM Welcome from ARIZONA the all beach no ocean state

oh yes please post

Humor........ it's whats for dinner

Welcome to the Swamp...Good to see ya made it!

You'll fit right in with the twisted minds that abound in this pond!

Larry,
Welcome from NJ.
If you know Dee, then you must know about the board.
Post away, and don't forget to duck- but it's all in good homor, I think.
Welcome and Good Luck,
Miked

A big HOWDY to you Larry!

Sorry we missed ya this past weekend, but we will be having lots of other events with the Texas Swamp Diving Team. Just stay tuned to the "Texas" section for the announcements.

Glad to have you here!!!

(Little people from the planet Greet?) ah hem...sorry....

Welcome and Good Luck (you're gonna need it - you will also need one finely tuned sense of homour.)

hmmm I wonder who you mean....

Welcome to the best place to spend your SI, and fun time at. As Joewr said, there are some out here that may be challenged on the humerous front, but most of us are relatively harmless :D

:jester: OK - Thanks for the warm welcome!

This message is checking out how it all works from home

Just to keep it marginally dive related - my last dive was yesterday [as I pitifully searched for Dee & the TX Swamp folk at the wrong place]
Being almost a month out of the water - I volunteered to Divemaster a class from my favored shop - 3 students vs the instructor, myself as the Divemaster & Rusty [an experienced and rather nice fellow that showed up, and I know little more!]
The students - a couple heading to Roatan {hear the heavy breathing start in my corner!} and Richard, who I was paired with. He provided my excitement for the day nicely - here I am trying to enjoy a nice cruise - and he starts to disappear upwards - Arghh - A floater! - Caught him by the BC and gave a quick reminder about dump valves. Other than that - a nice sunny day, 73 degree water - and as said above - I could see my hand! [and the student]
Cheers! Dive Safe
