hello and welcome to the board. tips i would be suggest is be a safe diver and always be aware of your buddy and your surroundings. also would be wise to discuss and plan your dive ahead of time and pratice some air sharing techniques with your buddy. also dive as much as you can and rack em up! good luck

Here are my favorite tips:

1) Proper weighting.

2) Good buoyancy skills.

3) Dive a lot.

4) Repeat and rinse.

A few suggestions I do like to offer every new member. First, it's good to keep your Profile with location and Dive Info with number of dives up to date so other members can address any questions appropriately; edit these as possibly needed from your UserCP above or the Quick Links above.

And don't be shy about posting. Click Forums above, tour the long list of choices, and jump in anywhere you're qualified. PM me with any questions, and I'll try to find a pretty good answer.
 
Hi, welcome to SB! My tip would be to use toothpaste as a mask defogger. (No I do not work for colgate, crest, or any of the other toothpaste companies. I just like the smell it gives my mask :) ).
 
Don't dive deeper than the bottom.
Don't breathe more air than the tank holds.
If you see something I haven't seen, come get me.
