I have 50 dives to my name and OW certification. Have been thinking of buying the more expensive gear before my upcoming trip to Fiji. Thats how I found the Scubaboard. A lot of helpful information here. Txx for keeping it up!

Hello from Matt,

Welcome to SB! :1poke: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :snorkels:

Welcome! You're in the right place, these folks are awesome. Me, not so much as a rookie, but I can nod appropriately.

Hi, Iwander.

Fiji, eh? Sounds great. I wonder what you mean by "more expensive gear"? What kind of diving will you be doing?

Best regards,
Bryan

"more expensive gears" is not necessary though - just buy things that are trusted and under warrenties. I bought a lot of top notch gears for the first time about a month ago - all total up about $1,600. It was suppose to be 3K but the dive shop gave me a deal and everything there are great prices! Yeah, I got it from www.scubatoys.com.

Good luck with your purchases!

Hi there. Welcome to the boards. I think that you will enjoy it here just as much as I do, and I hope to get to know you better! Just remember that everyone dosen't always agree... but thats ok too! Keep us updated on what kind of gear you buy, and have a great time in Fiji! I have always wanted to visit there myself!

Safe diving!

Welcome to the board and have fun in Fuji! This is an excellent source of info with cool people, great topics, and loads of facts.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Glad you found us. One of the ways that I've found ScubaBoard saves you a lot of money is through all of the great research and advise you can find here. Without the opinions here, you could buy a bunch of gear and then later buy a bunch more gear to replace the things you didn't know you didn't really want! Hopefully, that made sense. ;)

Don't forget to fill out your profile, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
