Hi all!!! I'm a relatively new diver who learned about a year ago. Now have just over 10 dives and have decided this is now my favorite passtime. I've decided to buy my own gear rather than renting my whole kit every time and will be here browsing the gear threads. I dont really know much about gear except that I jeust used a SeaDive mask rented in Monterey which gave me my first ever experience with no leak or fog over the entirety of two dives. I did not buy the mask, and am now kicking myself for not doing it while I was at the shop because it seems that SeaDive masks cant be purchased online.
Anyway I dont have much to say except:
1) If you are looking for an occasional dive partner in the sierra foothills, pm me in this forum. I have never done high altitude diving, but live closer to lake tahoe than to the coast and would like to learn.
2) If you think off the top of your head of a gear thread that seems particularly appropriate for a noobie, please send me the link. I'll be browsing all of them as I dont own anything yet and dont know jack about any of the different pcs that I'll need to eventually buy.
