You're doing a great job with your videoing! What you shootin with? How long have you been filming and editting?
Believe it or not, I use an ancient sony trv-240 digital 8. Takes good enough video for me (right now....I'm itchin' for an HD, but every time I think about pulling out the credit card, I realize it costs as much as a dive trip!). I've been videoing and editing 4 years in total, but got really into it in the last two, upgraded to Sony Premier Pro and love all the things it can do. Got an educational price on it, so it wasn't too expensive.
The crossfades transitions are perfect...keeps it flowing, makes it look more professional. ;-)
I really appreciate this comment, I spend hours trying to get the timing right. The only thing that takes longer is finding music that fits the mood.
Buzz me when you're over there and maybe I can come over with my camera and we can dive together.
would love to, I"m diving with blue xt~sea every day from Sun trough Thu. I don't know if there is room any days or not. If not, and you just want to come over for a beer and some lunch or dinner, let me know. I love talking diving and especially video diving!
Either way have a great trip...the conditions down here are excellent right now! You can see my Santa Rosa dive from a couple day ago here:

I really like the shooting. Plus, the way you had the scuba sounds under the music track was very effective. Probably going to steal that idea from you

I probably would have had hard cuts instead of the slow dissolve though, the music was hard edged with a heavy beat. It would be interesting to see it with quick cuts timed on the drum beat. That's just a personal opinion though, I really enjoyed the video, and now you've made my 5 day wait harder!
Oh, feel free to mention anything you might have done differently in mine, I love hearing about things others have done and why. It opens up further creativity on my part.
Do you have a DVD of your videos? Wanna trade?
