Hey Asser!!! - Nuweiba to Dahab???? One day?????

I have just found out that I will be in Nuweiba next Monday 31st on a trip that takes me across Sinai to Jordan.

Would I be pushing it to travel from there to Dahab for the day, or better to stay in Nuweiba and dive there?

If in Nuweiba which centre would you recommend?

In my opinion, it's better to dive in Dahab.

BTW, since it's just one day, try the Bells-Blue Hole and the Canyon dive sites.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear - my question was: how practical is it to travel from Nuweiba to Dahab for diving in one day?

I am with a group of non-divers and have to re-join them that night.


One hour's taxi + 8hrs for diving time + one hour back


Is this realistic, or should I just take the easy option and stay in Nuweiba for whtever that offers?

Yes it's realistic. Nuweiba is only 70 KM north of Dahab.
