What is the "bottle trick"?

If you're out looking for the big fishies, take an empty plastic bottle down with you - an average 20oz soda bottle will do. Keep pushing on the bottle with your thumb, so the plastic crackles, and if you're lucky, the sharks will come to play. Apparently the noise produced sounds like groupers mating. Sounds nutty, I know, but some people swear by it. Anything's worth a try...
