The Henderson Semi Dry Gold Core with Hyperstrech etc.....
I found that after my very first dive in fresh water no less the threads on the seams began to unravel and its not confined to one area. The damn thing is coming apart at the neck and on an arm as well as other places on the suit. Now dont get me wrong,it is an awsome suit with this one problem and what I'm lookin for is an inteligent solution to it.Only the threads are coming out of the suit but the seems are still bonded and seem fine.Any Ideas on what to use on the seams to prevent further fraying?:bonk:

Put a small amount of aqua seal on the threads to stop them from getting worse.

Send it back if its new and request a new suit

why do you have to fix it, what about a where you bought it, cant they return it and have the manufacturure fix it ?

Yeah, gold core does that kinda crap. I have a gold core 5mm and I don't think I would be exaggerating if I said I have aquaseal or seam sealer on 50% of the inside seams of that thing. I joke with my buddies that eventually the whole suit will be 100% aquaseal, but until then I just keep patching away every time I notice a new seam splitting. I covered the outside threads that were unraveling with Aquaseal like trymixdiver mentioned, but my main problem is seam splitting on the inside.

Good luck!

that if I "roll" my suit on, it doesn't strain the seams. I haven/t had any problem with the threads, I did however have a problem with the "seam" around the kneepad gaveway and ripped. Now my suit is somewhere twixt here and California for warranty repair........I love the suit, nice and warm, I made dives at 43 f. Nice and toasty........

Well we are about to see just how reasonable Henderson is and if they stand behind their product or not.I sent the suit back to them last week and they are supposed to call to inform me of their decision.Maybe by X_Mas if it's anything like trying to get them to return my calls.
I tried 5 times over 3 weeks and on # 6 I refused to leave a message and told the receptionist I'd wait for a CS rep.Took all of 30 seconds for someone to pick up and find out what my problem was.
They were sorry about the miscommunication (da) whats hard to understand about I"I have a problem with my new suit and need to talk to a customer service rep my # is.........).Not a very good start if you ask me but we'll see how it turns out.
I'll definately let you all know.
:boom:

I had a promblem with mine once I sent it back , had it back to me in three weeks, all though they told me they would call me they never did they replaced the whole top suit so I cant complain !!!!!!
