My Daughter is 12 and has been diving (pool and then sea since age 8). Recently we had the honor and privilege of seeing a group of wounded warriors diving in Bonaire and it was then that she decided that that was something she wanted to be involved in for her Batmitsvah project.

Ideally she would like to interview a soldier about his or her experience before, during and after their injuries as well as the role diving has had in helping them move on. We would ideally and with their permission tape the interview and would like to make it available on youtube for the public, for our friends and family with information on how to donate to her project with all funds bieng donated via her project to SUDS. In addition she would like to do a marathon scuba event with an aim of bieng sponsored to spend 2-3-4 hours underwater in the pool also to raise money and to hopefully highlight this cause of these noble people. This is also something that the local or regional press could be notified of and possibly cover.

Is this all logistically feasible and how would we go about it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

You may also want to contact Bill Pfeiffer, editor of Northeast Dive News, he is very active with this project. I have seen him several times at Dutch helpings SUDS
