I'm new at digital photography and having a BIG problem. I have a Canon Vixia H100 which takes great video (and stills). For editing I purchased Sony Vegas Movie Studio, Platinum Edition, which includes DVD Architect Studio.

I have been considering either the Canon WP-V1 or Ikelite 6090 housing, but that's not the problem.

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to utilize the Vegas Movie Studio. I know how to read and use tutorials but have miserably failed to get to first base with this program. Additionally, when I think I have at least the video down and then go to use the DVD Architect, the Architect ALWAYS freezes. My computer was purchased in expectation of using this software and has more than sufficient capability to handle the requirements.

My questions are as follows (not necessarily in the right order):

1. What can I do to get the Vegas Movie Studio to where I can understand it?
2. What possibly could be causing the DVD Architect to freeze when I attempt to move a project from Movie Studio over to it?
3. Is there a different software that I should consider?
4. Which housing, the WP-V1 or Ikelite 6090 is better?

Thanks for any information you are able to provide.

Keep you bubbles going up!

The WP-V1 housing only works with the Canon HF-20 or HF-200. So that solves one of your issues.
About Canon: Press Room > Press Release

The Ikelite is better anyway, more features, controls, better depth rating.

Of course there's also Equinox...

Hi Ezzy_67

I do use Sony Movie Studio for edition, and Roxio for DVD production.

I found the more information about Vegas Movie Studio in the PDF manual than in the tutorials. and I am not sure if you can move a project directly to Architect without reendering (not sure if this is the correct word) but I think you must finalize the project and save it as a movie first.
