Hi All

A mate of mine has recently been given a set of Coltri Sub regs and has asked me to see if I can find out any info on them and maybe service them.
For a start, they are not a brand im familiar with, or have been particularly popular in the UK.
I tried all the usual searches online and cant even identify them.

So, questions -

From my photo, can anyone identify what the model is?
And what year are they from?
Does anyone have a link to, or a service manual for the regs?
I have stripped the 1st stage down as far as the poppet and spring, but I cant find any way of getting the poppet guide and poppet spring assembly out of the body (the part that would be the balance chamber on a Conshelf type reg) - 2nd photo. It looks like it should just lift out once the Aclamp / filter bolt has been removed, but its completely solid in the chamber. No way to unscrew it, it wont turn or lift up. Stumped.......

Any pointers would be a real help.

Cheers

If that is really a Coltri Sub 1st, then it should be an early C60 1st.

'Tanks a lot' has schematics and manual for this model on his website.

And it can be a bit tricky to unscrew the (usually after all that years) jammed screw that holds the poppet and has the integrated balance chamber.

Try with liquid silicone and hit very slightly with a wooden dowel or something on that holder screw to distribute the silicone into the threads.

If you know that you have to unscrew it, you will be able to loosen the mechanism, I'm sure.

First time years ago it took me also quite some time to find out how that holder is fixed.

Good luck!

Axel is very likely spot on, this looks too be an early C60.

Unfortunately I only have the schematics and manual for the newer models, but seat is certainly coming out of there.

Axel gave you some good starting points to loosen the mechanism. Additionally, I'd throw it into the freezer for a few hours, just to drop it into some boiling water afterwards. The only thing that you could damage by doing this is the diaphragm, but you can already remove that.

Just found in my files this schematics of an obviously older C60 1st, but that's all I have....
