I would like to take a trip to Guimaras, and have not been able to find much info on diving in the area.. I saw there was an oil spill in 2006, does anyone know if things have gotten back to normal and if there are any Dive Centers worth visiting on the island????

Any help would be appreciated..

Cheers,
Roger

not much diving in guimaras
the proximity of the island to iloilo and negros makes the water quite murky. Although there are areas, specifically south to south west of the island that are considered dive areas, but the logistics drive the cost up.
But if you really want to go try diverone.net or thedivehouse.com look for chris i'm sure he could help you out.
The bunker fuel spill did most of it's damage where the water meets the land, mostly on the beaches and mangroves in the coastal areas. It did minimal damage to let's say 500 meters of the coast at 60 feet of water..
hope this helps
