Hi,

I need a little very basic help with a Nikonos close-up lens set. I got the set used some time ago and have my first opportunity to use it next week. Forgive such a basic question but I did not get the instructions with the kit. My question is: when using the close-up set with the standard Nikonos 35mm lens, what do adjust your focus too (.3 meters or infinity) ??? or does it make any difference. I would really appreciate some advice.

Thank you.

Infinity. Thats whats written in the book.
Have heard people say that by adjusting to .3m you can get closer, but you will have to adapt the frame... never did the math about it, never saw much difference though.
Hope it helps.

Bob,
I may have the manual scanned into pdf format, I'll check when I get home (Guam time).

Hi Bob,

Mariozi is right. You should set the prime lens at infinity and set the aperture to f/22 or f/16 depending on your strobe power or ISO value of film. There are three framers you can use for the close up lens kit. You should use the medium framer underwater and larger one topside for the 35mm lens. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Terry
