The macro lens will only be good in very shallow water unless you lights. I also think the "deep" filter renders water with an artificial blue-purple color. If I had to order one, I'd get the "Dive" filter. And after viewing lots of GoPro vidoes on youtube and vimeo, I notice two things that could improve most of them: 1. Get very close to whatever you are recording 2. Use some type of arm/tray to keep the camera steady, and pan the camera slowly

I have ordered the flip 3.1 kit and will be diving it in a few weeks, I will try to do a test with and without a shallow filter, shallow vs dive in 15', with and without the dive filter at 40' , shallow vs dive at 40', Dive vs deep at 40', with and without a deep filter 60', dive vs deep at 60' and so on and post the test on youtube and here. I will have the dive and deep in the flip and I will carry the shallow on a lanynard and hold it in place on my SS.

I agree with the information the posters replied with completely. My one addition is that ProTune uses more memory therefore, and as I always do, buy the largest memory card your money can buy,, then no matter which mode you use, your GoPro memory card will not be something you need fret over! It looks like you're happy with your filters, I dive blue and green water and won't dive without them, they are a must...along with a complete gear check and a buddy! Cheers-Deb
