Help with 20th anniversary trip destination

My husband and i are planning the 10th wedding anniversary in Oct of 2009 to Hawaii. Will probably spend a week touring around Maui and Oahu. Then the second week we will dive dive dive the big island. Also, definitely consider Bonaire. Awesome diving! Nice resorts. Diving is pretty easy and it's all about shore diving. No schedules. Dive where you want and when you want.

If Fiji was a choice, I'd look at Matangi Island.
For the Caribbean, your previous mention of St. Lucia would be good.
A romantic place list with diving also should include Hawaii as I think a place like Maui, perhaps the Sheraton at Kaanapali...nice beach, great snorkel dive out in front, town is but a few minutes away (Lahaina) with plenty of top eateries. In fact for my anniversary this year we'll be at Kaanapali.

Caymaniac - my sister was married at Matangi a few years ago (sort of a "we don't want a big party so we're going to elope" marriage, so I didn't go)......she always says it would be a great place to go....

I think if we are still living in Europe when this trip comes up...Maldives are a definitely possibility.

That said, I hear a lot about the currents there - would the diving be OK for a newbie?

Have you heard about Old Providence? I has all you are looking for except for the Spa. Although I have heard some rumor about one opening up. Let me make a few calls just to make sure. I will repost when i find out.
