I just bought a used regulator with an Oceanic console and a Data Plus computer. I need to replace the battery and just can't seem to get the computer out of the console. The rubber is rather stiff and the pressure gauge is on the other side of the console so there is no way to apply pressure from the bottom.

Any tips?

Warm water should soften up the rubber a bit. You may need to remove the SPG first but you can use the hose and metal connection to get a bit more leverage on that. Then the computer should be easier to remove. You might also want to get any compass out of the way to avoid damage and make the computer more accessible. Usually, it is just a matter of bending the rubber enough to get the device to pop free.

I am not a fan of consoles so I would take a knife to the rubber in a flash if it did not come out when I thought it should.
