thanks for all the advice guys and yea i now no NO diving with a cold.. that was my first real dive however lol and was wayyy too excited to let that stop me...i think i might wait a bit b4 checkin a doc because i hardly notice it i think a lot of its in my mind also ( im sure we've all gone through that).. but if it continues then most deff thanks (Y).. and i would post it on a medical forum except more ppl generally view here i thought i would get quicker responses this way thanks

It really isn't possible for somebody to tell you over the internet whether this is anything to worry about or not, but in my book, if somebody hardly notices the problem, it's rarely a serious one. Barotrauma to the ear can do permanent damage, but generally the patient is aware of significant pain and persistent hearing loss or balance problems. Still, if you have any major worry about this, the answer is to get a good examination by at least a primary care physician, or an ENT doc.

Yup, time to hit the clinic. I have a deal with medical professionals. They don't try to plan my dives, and I won't try to diagnose injuries or diseases! It may be nothing, but a trip to the doc very likely could reduce your discomfort and if it's anything more serious, he/she'll take care of that too.
By the way, welcome to SB!

If the ear drops dont help go give the doc a call. It will probally go away in a day or two but you dont want it to get more serious.

so far since yesterday i havent felt it at all i have a feeling it was just water because i heard the tell tale sound... but thanks for d adive and since it was my first dive i was indeed very anxious didnt want to go ahead and spoil my entire diving career lol thanks

As a general rule, one shouldn't use ear drops if there is any concern that the eardrum has been injured. Not likely here, given no severe pain or blood, but with blocked tubes a rupture is possible at any depth. Go to an ER or urgicare and have someone look to see if the drum is intact, if there is fluid behind it or if the canal is inflamed. You shouldn't need to ENT to assess these findings.

From my experience, if you're not supposed to use the drops the sharp stinging sensation in your ear will tell you so.

It's totally understandable that you were anxious to get diving! I was in the same situation. Have fun :)
